How do I place an order? 

You can place an order using our easy and completely secure checkout. Payments can be made with either debit or credit card, simply follow the instructions at our checkout page. See our privacy policy for more info. 

We will send you an email to confirm that we have received your order and we'll also tell you how long you can expect to wait for your order to be delivered.

Alternatively of you have any doubts or concerns about making your payment online you can contact us directly and we will be happy to process your order personally.

 

Is my order secure?

Yes it's completely secure. If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption.

 

I have placed an order but i've changed my mind

Don't panic! We try to be as flexible as possible and would ask that you let us know as soon as possible if you wish to cancel or change the order. Because each and every light is hand made to order we're sure that you'll understand that the sooner you let us know the quicker we can help arrange a refund. You will need to email us at info@thelightyard.com

The light's great but it's not what I expected. Can I exchange it for another light or have my money back?

All our lights from the GCD range are custom made to order so unfortunately we do not offer money back. Fittings from all our other other ranges can be exchanged providing it meets with our returns policy

 

How long will I have to wait for my delivery?

Each of our brands are unique and so delivery times vary depending on the particular brand. Take a peek at the product page of the light you like and you will find the delivery time.

We deliver to any destination in the mainland UK and ALL deliveries are FREE! If you're lucky enough to live on the Isle Of Man, Channel Islands or the Outer Hebrides we can also deliver to you for a small fee.

Delivery is normally 1-2 working days after they have been dispatched and is usually by courier to your door, so it needs to be signed for. 

 

Can you make a light to my specifications?

Absolutely! Get in touch and we will do our best to help.

 

Do you deliver outside of the UK?

Yes we regularly deliver internationally. Please contact us for a quote.

 

Do you offer trade discounts?

Are the lights guaranteed?

Absolutely. If you look at the product specification you will see the guarantee conditions towards to bottom.  

 

What lightbulb do I need?

Some of our light fittings come supplied with bulbs. The best way to see if your light comes with a bulb is to check the product specification or simply drop us an email and we will be happy to tell you.  

 

Can I install the lights myself?

We strongly recommend using a fully qualified electrician to install your lights. Any installation that has not been carried out by a qualified professional will render the guarantee null and void.

 

What voltage are the lights?

All of our fittings are designed and rated for the UK and Europe (230 volts). However, lighting designers are clever things and most of our fittings can be adapted for use internationally (110 volts) If you're not sure just drop us an email or give us a call.

Can I have a sample light?

We understand that it's hard to tell exactly what a light actually looks like without seeing and feeling it. Contact us for more details and we'll see how we can help.
